Frequently asked questions

Here's what most patients want to know
Why do people usually get this treatment done?

Areas where you have mild loss of volume can be treated with Restylane. Smile lines, marionette lines, smoker lines around the lips, loss volume on the lips, hollow space under the eyes, cheeks, jawline contour, nose, hands, and even fine lines and acne scar can be improved with this treatment.

What is this treatment?

Restylane is a hyaluronic acid dermal filler that is made up of a soft injectable gel. Hyaluronic Acid is a molecule that’s found naturally in your body. Once injected into treatment areas, it binds with water then expands, resulting in more volume and less sagging or wrinkling. The gel is tissue-friendly and long-lasting, though not permanent. Dermal filler treatments are widely used in medical aesthetics to add volume, plump up and reduce the appearance of lines and folds.

How much does this cost?

Dermal filler prices are per syringe. Each syringe of Restylane is one cc. It can range from $700-$1,200 per syringe. Most patients use two syringes per treatment session.

What will happen during the treatment?

Your specialist will evaluate your face from many angles –looking at your deep wrinkles and creases, as well as volume deficits seen with aging. It's important to discuss what areas bother you with your specialist so they can explain how the filler will work to correct that area. The injections are performed with a small needle. Most Restylane Fillers have lidocaine mixed right into the product that helps almost immediately with any discomfort. You can expect minimal swelling and small possibility of bruising. The initial results are visible immediately.
