Why do people usually get this treatment done?

As you age, you start to notice the natural volume and your youthful skin begin to diminish as wrinkles and creases form. JUVÉDERM restores the loss of tissue volume beneath the skin and helps rebuild your skin's foundation, thereby removing and reducing the creases in your skin.Common areas that are treated with JUVÉDERM are, nasolabial folds (smile lines), volume loss in your cheeks, chin, or jawline, thin lips, under-eye hollows, marionette lines around the mouth, and non-surgical rhinoplasty.

What is this treatment?

JUVÉDERM is a hyaluronic acid dermal filler that is made up of a soft injectable gel. Hyaluronic Acid is a molecule that’s found naturally in your body. Once injected into treatment areas, it binds with water then expands, resulting in more volume and less sagging or wrinkling. The gel is tissue-friendly and long-lasting, though not permanent. Dermal filler treatments are widely used in medical aesthetics to add volume, plump up and reduce the appearance of lines and folds.

How much does this cost?

Dermal filler prices are per syringe. Each syringe of Juvederm is one cc. It can range from $700-$1,200 per syringe of Juvederm. Most patients use two syringes per treatment session.

What will happen during the treatment?

Your specialist will evaluate your face from many angles – looking at your deep wrinkles and creases, as well as volume deficits seen with aging. It's important to discuss what areas bother you with your specialist so they can explain how the filler will work to correct that area. The injections are performed with a small needle. The product (XC version) has anesthetic mixed right into the product that helps almost immediately with any discomfort. You can expect minimal swelling and small possibility of bruising. The initial results are visible immediately.
